Cook / Event Cook (Full-Time, Year-Round) $22–$24 per hour + tips Full-time – Tuesday to Saturday Medical/Dental – Paid Sick/Vacation – Simple IRA with Matching About Us Preferred Sonoma Caterers is a locally owned, family-run company known for creating memorable food and service for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across Sonoma County and Wine Country. We prepare everything from scratch, use fresh local ingredients, and believe that teamwork and pride in our craft are the keys to success. About the Role We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Cook to join our team full-time, year-round. You’ll work alongside our experienced Catering Chefs to prepare, cook, and plate dishes for weddings, corporate events, and private parties. This is a great position for someone looking to grow their skills and gain experience in large-scale event cooking, from elegant wine-country weddings to relaxed backyard parties. Responsibilities • Assist with preparation and cooking of menu items for catered events. • Follow prep lists, recipes, and plating instructions accurately. • Support chefs in maintaining food quality and presentation standards. • Work both in our kitchen and on-site at events. • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. Qualifications • 1–2 years of professional kitchen experience preferred. • Interest in learning and growing in a catering or event kitchen environment. • Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team. • Dependable, punctual, and positive attitude. • Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain one). Schedule Full-Time: 40+ hours per week Typical schedule: -Tuesday to Thursday 7am to 3pm -Friday and Saturday 2pm to 10pm *this is a flexible schedule you will usually know a month in advance.
